Jordi Marín Gest is a Valencia-based artist who, along with inventing new forms of interactive art, works with digital oil paint as a medium. Of French and Spanish heritage, he was born in the same barrio of Mexico City that Frida Kahlo and Diego Riviera were from, the artist´s barrio named Coyoacán. Marín Gest received his Bachelor’s degree at Laguna College of Art and Design in Laguna Beach, California, a preeminent school for fine art. He later completed his Master’s degree at the University of Sevilla in the south of Spain, the same institution where Diego Velazquez trained as a painter before being commissioned by the King to move to Madrid.
